Storegga CEO comments on new CCS agreement in Alaska

Commenting on the Collaboration Agreement with Santos Ltd and ASRC Energy Services LLC which enables the companies to identify carbon capture and storage opportunities in Alaska for joint development, construction and operation, Dr Nick Cooper, CEO at Storegga, said:

“This FoA and the recent Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill serve as great catalysts for the consortium to progress further decarbonisation opportunities in Alaska. Collaborative relationships like this will accelerate the delivery of at-scale decarbonisation infrastructure and technologies which are urgently needed.  We are looking forward to working with both ASRC Energy Services and Santos to pursue opportunities which will support America’s progress towards a lower carbon economy and contributing to a global effort to reduce and remove CO2 from the atmosphere we all share.”

It is anticipated that multiple opportunities will be explored under the agreement.
